Privacy Policy for LyricFlow

LyricFlow (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Greg Koenig (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use LyricFlow.
1. Information We Collect
LyricFlow is designed to work primarily with data you create. We do not collect personal information for advertising or tracking purposes.
Information You Provide
- Songs, lyrics, notes, and related metadata you enter into the app
- Gigs or setlist information you create
- App preferences and settings
This data is created and controlled entirely by you.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
Local Storage
By default, all data is stored locally on your device.
iCloud / CloudKit Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud, LyricFlow uses Apple CloudKit to sync your data across your devices.
- Data is stored securely in your private iCloud container
- We do not have access to your CloudKit data
- Apple’s privacy and security practices govern CloudKit storage

3. Information We Do Not Collect
LyricFlow does not:
- Collect your name, email address, or contact information
- Track your location
- Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
- Sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
- Track you across apps or websites
4. Audio & Media Access
LyricFlow may access:
- Audio playback features on your device (for playback only)
The app does not record audio or access your microphone.
5. Data Sharing
Your data is never shared with third parties, except:
- When syncing via Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure (as described above)
- If required by law
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information by:
- Relying on iOS system security features
- Using Apple-managed CloudKit encryption when enabled
However, no system is 100% secure, and you use the app at your own risk.
7. Data Deletion
You may delete your data at any time by:
- Removing content within the app
- Deleting the app from your device
- Disabling iCloud sync (which stops CloudKit storage)
CloudKit data is removed according to Apple’s policies when you delete the app or your iCloud account.
8. Children’s Privacy
LyricFlow is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app or on the App Store listing with an updated effective date.
